Balaji Single Point Diamond Dressers are made of selected diamonds, mounted in a matrix. Only one cutting edge is presented to the grinding wheel. Diamonds for Single Point Dressing Tools are selected for their structural strength, number of points, degrees of sharpness, and lack of determental flaws. The proper selection of size and quality appropriate for a given application required qualified judgement.
We offer four grade of diamonds for Single Point Dressers.
Cluster Type Diamond Dressers
Balaji Cluster Type Diamond Dressers replace large single points. The clusters consist of 5. 7. 9. 12 small diamonds set in a variety of patterns for dressing larger or coarser and harder wheels. Since more than one diamond comes in contact with the wheel. the work load is divided. Also since smaller diamonds are less expensive per carat than large stones. cluster tools often effect important savings.
Application :
Balaji Grit Impregnated Dressers are used mainly for finish grinding, i.e. on screw-thread gear, thread gear teeth and profile grinding machines as well as on tool grinders, plain grinding machines and ball grinding plant.
The diamond grain, concentration and bond are appropriately inter adjusted.
Advantages :
Restores the required effective roughness of the wheel surface. It is adapted to the machining operation by varying the traverse dressing feed.

The dressing of acute angled wheel profiles presents no problems.
Application :
Balaji Blade Type Diamond Dressers are specially recommended for Angular and centreless grinders. If desired available with swiveling holder or with diamond abrasive plate brazed in a shank.

Balaji Forming & Chisel Type Diamond Dressers are used for profile dressing of a grinding wheel meant for thread and gear grinding. The forming chisels and cones are used for this purpose and are made of the right quality of diamond cut and polished to the profile of the part to be ground. These chisels and cones are made with tolerance for radius and angles. Forming dressers are used on machines such as Matrix, Newell, Reishauer etc. whereas the Chisel dressers are used on machines such as Diaform. Akuform and other types of radius and profile forming equipment.
Balaji Diamond Turning & Boring Tools are widely used for precision turning and boring of non-ferrous materials like Aluminum, Magnesium, Gold, Silver, Titanium, White, Metal, Bronze, Zinc, Brass, Copper, Gun Metal, Plastics, Hard Rubber, Vulcanite, Asbestos, Ceramics, Graphite, Sintered Carbides and other abrasive materials.
A high accurate mirror finish can be obtained during turning facing, boring and fly-cutting. The tool shape and the size of the shank are varied according to the application and the machine employed. Special tools are also manufactured according to the customer's drawings and specifications.
Please note Natural Diamond Tools are not used on Ferrous metals.

Balaji Diamond Files are available in different shapes and are recommended for machining carbide or hardened'steel moulds. Grit size is recommended according to the required surface finish. They offer numerous possibilities for tool making and in mechanical engineering production - not only for finishing of work pieces, but also for forming of shaped sections in hard metals and hard plastics.
Balaji electroplated diamond files are all-purpose tools for the mould and die instrument, gauge and tool-making industries. They give faster and more economical stock removal on both hardened and tough unhardened steels and on carbides, and eliminate distortion due to work hardening as well as scratch buildup and cutting, forming and drawing tools.

Balaji diamond files are manufactured in a state-of-the-art plant, incorporating automatic process control and unique plating technology. This ensures that each file has the highest cutting capacity and long tool life.
Balaji diamond files are used for machining hardened steels and unhardened steels or unhardened high-alloy steels; rough and fully-sintered carbides, ferrite, carbon, graphics, FRP, ceramics, hard plastics glass etc.,
Best results are obtained by using these files with light contact pressure. The protusion and uniformly high concentration of the diamond grit on the file surface ensures smooth, free-cutting action and high depth of cut. Increased cutting pressure is not recommended, and should be avoided as it does not result in higher rate of material removal. The file can be cleaned with a soft toothbrush after use.
Balaji Diamond & CBN Mounted Points are used for small diameter machining and high speed grinding.
Diamonds are deposited in every possible shape. providing the internal grinding wheels with a wide range of capabilities even for application such as for internal grinding of carbide dies/wear parts.
The advantages of the pins are: they enable faster stock removal, generates more production, can avoid coolant, avoids dressing and makes it easy for making complicated forms.
Resin & Metal Bond Wheels
Balaji Diamond & Cbn Wheels are manufactured of superior quality and available in Resin, Metal Vitrified Bonds and Electrometallic bonds. They are used for grinding carbides, glass, ceramics, ferrites and other hard and abrasive materials. These are available in diameters ranging from 3.0 mm to 600 mm. Bond type, grit size and concentration are selected to ensure maximum wheel performance according to the application.
Diamond & CBN Honning Sticks with their economically longer life. have contributed in a big way measure to their rapid development in usage. Diamond/CBN honning has proved in particular suitable means of honning mass - production in cast - iron parts, steel components, like gear bores, connecting rod etc, which major application in the transport industry.
Materials successfully honed with Diamond and CBN now include tungsten carbide, hardened steel, non-ferrous metals and glass. Diamond/CBN honing is not restricted merely to the finishing of cylindrical bores. It may also be used to advantage for finishing conical bores. Infact, almost all types of materials may be honed to obtain optimum surface finish, high tolerances and high removal rates. The noise level of a CBN hone is far less when compared with conventional abrasives hone.
